As a family-run business, Richard and Sam have spent years perfecting their gin Prosecco cocktail recipes, carefully tweaking flavours to achieve the perfect balance. So, when renowned food and drink connoisseur Gareth Wyn Jones joined us for a taste test, we were eager to hear his thoughts.

Let’s kick things off with Richard and Sam’s favourite, the Sloe Gasm. This particular cocktail holds a special place in their hearts, and they couldn’t wait to see how Gareth would respond to its deep, fruity notes.

 

1. Sloe Gasm with Gareth Wyn Jones

Pardon the pun, but there’s really no other way of putting it, watching Gareth try the renowned Sloeberry and Gin cocktail was like watching someone have a flavourful Sloe Gasm in their mouth!

The Sloe Gasm is a luscious combination of gin infused with handpicked sloe berries, giving it a rich, fruity depth. Paired with sparkling wine, it offers a balance of tartness and sweetness, making it an indulgent treat for any occasion. The vibrant berry notes and subtle hints of almond from the sloe gin create a cocktail that’s both refreshing and comforting.

Straight after taking a sip of the Sloeberry Gasm, Gareth’s exact words were “Oh my God, that is orgasmic, I’ve got to say! Really, really good.” We’ll take that as a big resounding yes!

1. Onto the next: Plum Gasm

The Plum Gasm features a gin infused with the natural sweetness of ripe plums, delivering a beautifully rounded and smooth flavour profile. When blended with sparkling wine, it creates a cocktail that’s rich in fruitiness, with a hint of spice and warmth. This drink is perfect for those who enjoy a soft yet vibrant fruit-forward beverage.

So, what were Gareth’s thoughts on this one? “Here we go…oh my God, that is absolutely beautiful. Next one”. Another successful taste bud experience for Gareth, so much so that he was eager to try another Gasm creation! Safe to say he loved the combination of Plum gin and sparkling wine - what a dream. 

1. Razz Gasm: Could This Be the Best One Yet?

 

After tasting two delicious sparkling wine and fruity gin cocktails, was the final taste test going to hit the spot too? Let’s find out. 

Bright and zesty, the Razz Gasm combines gin infused with raspberries for a burst of fresh, tangy flavour. The raspberry’s sharp sweetness pairs perfectly with sparkling wine, offering a cocktail that is light, crisp, and utterly refreshing. It’s ideal for a celebratory toast or a sunny afternoon indulgence.

Immediately after taking a shot of the Razz Gasm, Gareth fell silent for a couple of seconds. Eager to know his thoughts, Richard, Sam, and their Daughter Lottie (who’s a big fan of Razz Gasm, waited patiently for Gareth’s response. 

“...I’m going to say something here that I don’t say all the time. Every single one of them was delicious. But I’m going to go with your Daughter, I think that was what hits the tastebuds for me”. 

We have a favourite for Gareth Wyn Jones - the Razz Gasm! A beautifully raspberry-infused gin and sparkling wine drink like no other.
